Star Ratings And Evaluations
When an NCSA student-athlete completes their recruiting profile they are evaluated by our sport-specific Recruiting Coaches. Our Recruiting Coaches work hand-in-hand with student-athletes and help them to identify their best fit schools -- based on athletic talent, academic performance and the personal preferences of recruits, as well as the recruiting needs and personal preferences of college programs.
By evaluating the student-athlete's recruiting profile, skills video, etc... our Recruiting Coaches are able to better determine potential opportunities for that recruit based on athletic talent. The evaluation and star rating also provides you (college coaches) with an easy way to filter through our network to identify recruits that meet your athletic criteria.
The star ratings are rankings (1-6) that are provided by our Recruiting Coaches during the evaluation process. We understand that every program is unique in how they evaluate for talent. Ultimately, you will need to complete your evaluation and make a final call. That said, the star rating system is meant to provide you with an easy way to quickly filter and discover recruits that could be a potential fit based on your athletic criteria.

The first part of the scouting report will be personalized for you, and show "pros" and "cons" based on the information that we have about your school and program. To update and provide NCSA with information about your school and program, please go to the "Recruiting Preferences" tab of your NCSA account.
Beneath the "pros" and "cons" section will be notes, provided by the Recruiting Coach that completed the evaluation. At the bottom of the notes you will see an "evaluated by" icon and have the ability to click on the Recruiting Coach's name. By clicking on the Recruiting Coach's name, you will be able to see their bio and contact information.
