I joined NCSA in January of 2021 after coaching track and field on the youth and collegiate levels for more than a decade. I most recently finished my last coaching stint at Tennessee Tech University as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator before transitioning to NCSA. Prior to Tennessee Tech University, I served as “acting” head coach at Mississippi Valley State University and assistant coach at Virginia Union University in my hometown of Richmond, VA. Additionally, I have served as the meet director of several USATF and AAU youth-level competitions. I am USATF Level I Certified and a USATF certified official.

Prior to my coaching career, I double-majored at George Mason University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in integrative studies in 2010. I was a member of the Patriots women’s track and field program from 2006-08.

Working for NCSA will give me the opportunity to continue to build relationships with student-athletes and their families while still enjoying the sport of track and field.

I am excited to begin my 15th year with NCSA. After graduating from Hillsdale College with a major in History/Political Science, I began teaching High School Social Studies and coaching Basketball, Volleyball, and Track at Hamilton High School. My dream job of returning to my Alma Mater as Head Cross Country and Track and Field coach was realized and for four years, led the team to amazing successes, finishing 11th and 8th in the Nation, earning GLIAC Coach of the Year, and best finishes in the school history. During that time, I began to expand my family with my husband Scott and NCSA was the perfect fit for me. I was able to work part-time as an NCSA Athletic Scout while raising my kids, Wil and Brant. I have recently switched over to the Recruiting Coach role, where I know I can have more of an impact in changing lives, all while helping kids to run faster and find the perfect fit school. I love working at a company that empowers student-athletes to play at the next level.

When I’m not at NCSA, you can find me in the stands at Hamilton High School watching Wil, now a ’21 NCSA client, play tennis, basketball, and baseball, OR watching Brant, a ’23 NCSA client play football, basketball, baseball or speed around the track. My husband, Scott continues to teach Physical Education and is entering his 30th year. I am thankful to Scott who has encouraged me to keep on running, after years competing at Hillsdale College, then my years running for NIKE, the dedication it took to train and qualify for the Olympic Trials, and then years coaching at the local schools! I just love to run and help kids! Thanks, Scott and Thanks NCSA!

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to have the chance to compete in Track and Field at the College level. I had the chance to attend a wide range of schools. I selected a smaller school at Bethel College in Indiana to fit my personal preference. During my time at Bethel, I was able to finish my career as a five-time NAIA All-American and after graduation held multiple school records in the Long Jump and the Decathlon. After my athletic career was finished I started coaching shortly after at my alma mater for four seasons. I then took a coaching job at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais Illinois for a season before returning to Bethel. While coaching at these two institutions I was able to be blessed with coaching 2 NAIA National Champions and 29 NAIA All-Americans.

My favorite part about working with NCSA is building relationships with the student-athletes and their families. Guiding and directing them to where they want to go and what they want to become in the future is something I find great joy in. Outside of working at NCSA, I enjoy traveling and seeing new places around the world. I also enjoy being active and competing across the country by playing Spikeball and Slow Pitch Softball.

I’m fortunate to already have a nearly three-decade career in Track and Field that spans experiences as a high school and DI college athlete, and a coach at everything from a middle school and club, to over fifteen years as a college coach, shared between a Power 5 university in one of the best track conferences in the country, as well as a small private Division III program. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as an athlete, but for me, there’s nothing better than helping others reach their potential and goals. I’m excited to help student-athletes and their families make confident decisions and get to the right school for them.

I started my coaching career at my track alma mater immediately after my eligibility was over at Kent State University, where I competed as a pole vaulter. At Kent, I worked with the vertical jumpers and coached my first two All-Americans in the PV and HJ. After trying out another profession for a short time, in my late 20s, I came back to my first love of coaching while living in NC. At Wake Forest University I was fortunate as a new full-time coach to be mentored by one of the best multi-event coaches in the country, while I was coaching the Wake jumps squad and assisting with the sprinters and multi-eventers. We had multiple national qualifiers in the TJ at both the NCAA and USATF Jr. National levels. Another great experience at this time was helping coach some of the best post-collegiate national-level Heptathletes and Decathletes that came to live and train with us, including a two-time Olympian decathlete.

Moving back to Ohio after a decade down south, I was again fortunate to coach at another great academic institution, Kenyon College. There I was able to recruit and coach nearly all the events in T&F and became very appreciative of the versatile athlete who is driven in both the classroom and on the track. We had multiple All-Americans at Kenyon and a top 20 finish at Nationals with the women’s team. I look forward to using all these experiences to help my NCSA families find their best fit.

Outside of NCSA, I enjoy continuing to coach at the club level here in Central Ohio, as well as spending time with my wife and kids.

Before coming to NCSA I started off as a H.S. Guidance Counselor as I competed post Collegiate qualifying for the Olympic Trials in the Javelin. Post competition I have served as a college coach/professor for over fifteen years having worked at the NCAA Division I/III levels and NAIA level. I have had the privilege of working with some outstanding student-athletes and colleagues which has been the greatest joy of my career. I have also been fortunate enough to mentor All-Americans and National Champions, but most importantly help student-athletes reach their dreams & goals. Working for the NCSA allows me to continue to pursue my passion for helping even more student-athletes achieve their dreams!
